Meet Our Founder
Founder Allison Baron is a trusted senior advisor to nonprofit and philanthropic executives during your most pivotal moments.
With 20+ years of experience across 60+ nonprofits nationwide, Allison brings a rare blend of field insight and strategic acumen. Her background spans top-tier consulting (at BCG, Bridgespan, and Bellwether), executive coaching, and classroom teaching.
Today, Allison guides executive teams through high-stakes decisions, drawing on a blend of strategic advising, executive coaching, and facilitation. What most inspires her work today is her time as a 9th grade Algebra teacher to nearly 200 students in Chicago. She shares her clients’ commitment to building a more equitable world for all our kids.
Allison holds degrees from the University of Michigan and its Ross School of Business, along with an executive coaching credential from Northwestern, anchoring her approach in both evidence-based frameworks and deep emotional intelligence. She is a certified in the Six Types of Working Genius model, which she uses to help teams be more focused, strategic, and cohesive.
Allison lives in the Chicago area with her husband, David, and their kids Elina and Jack. When she’s not leading Chime Partners, you can find her coaching her daughter’s soccer team, grilling for her most loved friends and family, playing a good game of UNO, or cracking the code to find her way out of an escape room.
Our Name
For us, the sound of a wind chime is beautiful, energizing, and seemingly effortless. But its design is intentional—just like a high-performing executive team. Each rod holds its own shape and sound, yet they’re strung together to move in harmony. A central structure holds them steady, allowing for clarity, cohesion, and resonance—even in unpredictable conditions.
